I took a couple of photos opf the Ares 1-X launch this AM. I'd like opinions of a few pictures.

First off, most of the ones that I see are close-ups. In this one, I went for a wide-angle view.

For the second, I was at a different site, on the shady side of the vehicle. A helicopter flew in front of the platform, and I took some pics. I applied an antique light filter to it in LR.

Opinions, please?

The first doesn't do much for me. The foreground looks messy, and the rocket is too small.

I like the second quite a bit more. Maybe just a little more contrast in it?
