This pic is dedicated - with admiration - to the maesto of light, Endre.

BTW, I got the idea from the LUMIX Award. I only wish it would also be open to non-EU photographers as well.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

WOW! Yakim, my friend! That is fantastic! The colors are spellbinding. How did you do that? (I have my suspicions but I'll let you tell me.) Anyway, it is a fascinating shot. A sort-of String Bass out on a dark road. Amazing! Bravo!

What can I say to your kind dedication?

Warm regards,

Endre

PS I responded at some length to your postings on my Chair shot, but for some reason it doesn't show up in the list that I did. I don't want you to miss it.

Hi Endre,

I'm glad you like my pic but I actually did nothing to the colours (I don't even know how ), just a bit of sharpening to counter the AA filter. The colours are all natural. You see, several years ago the mayor decided that our city will be a musical one. That means that kids have extensive music lessons at school and that also mean that most of the roundabouts have a metal statue of some musical instrument. To make it more pleasing to the eye, coloured spotlights were placed around them. As I liked the effect I shot it from below both to achieve some dramatic effect and to be in line with the WA.

As I know you are a music fan I thought it would strike a cord in your heart.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Colourful rendition Yakim but I think I would have cropped it left somewhat to exclude some of the background.

Best.

10X for the idea. Never thought about it. I'll crop it and see how it goes.

Thank you. Indeed the colours are what caught my eye in the first place. The really difficult thing was to get rid of all the disturbing objects in the background (streetlights, buildings, posts etc.). Well, I did succeed to keep most out....

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

As I said above, I was trying to get rid of all the street elements, as I found them disturbing and unnecessarily eye catching.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.
