My first time at Festivals of Speed and I have to say it was an awesome show. I'll let the photos do the talking.

So you shipped me the R9 right? Man that thing might not be quite as quick as the other lovelies in this set, but holy smokes is it gorgeous. That may be the most beautiful car on the planet.

Great work. I'm personally not a fan of selective color, although you pulled it off better than most here. I would much rather slightly desaturate/burn the rest and then slightly boost the red for a more subtle version of the same effect, but to each his own.

Beautiful photos of beautiful subjects.

The R9 is on it's way, hehe. I agree with you 100%. The R8 is one of my favorites.

That was my first time seeing a Bimota in person. Awesome machines, especially the one with the front swing arm.

#2 is a beautiful image, love the single beam of light on the name. In #9 (the row of car hoods) I'd crop a little bit off the right side to remove that partial person. And #10 is a magnificent use of selective color.

On the flip side, there's too many 45-degree tilted images for my taste... overuse of the tactic. And the color of the skies in #1 and #3 looks a bit funny, or off. But those are not huge complaints, and overall a great set.

glad you all enjoyed them.

Rodolfo, thanks for taking the time to critique. always appreciated! can't really do crazy angles with people so sometimes I get carried away when I shoot cars.

Awesome pics, cars, processing but the extreme tilts and wide angle distortion was a bit distracting to me.
I've never seen a front swing arm like on the Bimota...I can't stop looking at it!

For the car guys who love expensive fast cars, here is a link to a movie clip of the $1.6 million Bugatti Veyron that crashed into a Texas salt water swamp:

nice event. What lens did you use for the ones with the Background blurred?

Great coverage and love the crisp colors. Some of the better car shooting posts i've seen here. I enjoy the way you isolate certain parts or certain cars in your framing, yes the tilt is maybe over done but I think it works.

Only nitpick is the partial body of the lady in the front end shot. Also that woman's shorts are being eaten by her rear end!
