Hey everyone,

I would like to know your thoughts on this following image. Is it too much? How is the colour? The idea good? How to improve it? Thanks!

You're up late mate... but then so am I.

That's a great idea using those colourful candies but I think you need to work on the lighting and I think the white balance is a little off.

It is quite late isnt it..

Thanks for the advice.. tried to fix up the WB but I was going with the warm look. With the lighting.. it was really hard to even get a picture of the ants in focus so I just gave up on the flashes.. lol..
Are the ants easy or do they kind of blend into the background?

It's hard to tell until you come up with better lighting. As it is, they do look a bit blended with the background. Was this shot at night?

Looking at the ant, they look like those greenheaded ants which are iridescent.

It was in the late afternoon probably around 530ish..

yeah.. I've been trying to get the ants brighter so they dont blend in as much but not have much luck so far.

Thanks for your eye though.. been looking at it for hours and it all looks the same now

The hard part about a shot like that, from the perspective of the average viewer, is trying to figure out what the subject is.
