Is there a shortage of the spyder3? I have been looking to buy a monitor calibrator and every time i see the spyder 3 it is back ordered. I am looking to calibrate a 2209wa. Do I really need the spyder3 or should i be okay with the spyder2 express?

Although it doesn't come with the Datacolor software, you can purchase just the Spyder3 from http://www.integrated-color.com/ or as part of a bundle with Color Eyes Display Pro (Good software, not so great support. Takes a lot of testing and tweaking to learn the software.)

If I had to wager a guess, Datacolor's probably putting together a new production run with current software on the CD.

As you've noticed, the Pro and Elite versions are in extremely short supply while the brand new Spyder3Express can readily be had. My suppliers are telling me they expect stock before the end of the week, but hard telling if Datacolor will actually deliver.
