Not being able to batch in NX2 since moving to Snow Leopard has significant hampered my file production process. Has anybody been able to get NX2 to work with Snow Leopard?

I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard and am running NX2 v2.2.2 and it works fine, although since getting the Nik software collection I am happily back doing everything in Photoshop again.
A friend of mine can't use NX2 on Snow Leopard at all, it keeps crashing all the time. He called Nikon and apparently they are working on a new version, no idea when that will come out though.

Apparently the sequence of the updates matters - but I cannot recall whether the OS upgrade should go first or second
