I bought this lens new from B&H. It is in mint condition with only a few specs of dust in it that I had to look hard to find. It comes with the box and the hood. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

EF-S lenses don't have date codes, only L lenses. This lens is just under 2 years old. |

sorry greg, believe me i wasnt quesitoning your rep at all, really sorry about that. I was jus curious if i was going to buy an EF-S lens in the future or at any point if there would be a way for me to find out how old the piece was. Thas all, personally i would always want a newer less used version |

No problem I knew you weren't question me but had the misconception that age matters for lenses. It doesn't of they're cared for. |
