Yep, another calendar printing question. This has been asked in the past, but with no recent replies in the archives I thought I would ask the question for myself.
I'm looking to try out a short run 2010 calendar. I would like to hear from photogs that have RECENTLY used different services and your honest feelings about how they turned out quality/design/customer service wise.
If you have a photo of the finished product, please consider posting it here.
I'd like to print a 12 month wall calendar, with the binding in the center (rather than the top). Probably around the 12" x 12" (per page - so that would be 24" tall when displayed) size, give or take is fine.
Thanks for any help, experience, tips you can offer. Much appreciated!

I used Marathon press for a set last year. The quality was good and fair price for very low volume. I only needed 12 copies.

for low volume we find best to print it by our own and have local book printer to bind it.
Best control over quality and price matches high volumes (higher effort though).

I'm also looking to print a few calendars, just as gifts for Christmas though. I don't have any means to print myself so i would appreciate any positive/negative reviews of online printers.

Thanks!

I did one with Lulu.com last year and was dissapointed with the color quality. The paper, layout, and binding was excellent, but the color reproduction sucked, and they were unresponsive to my complaints.

I did another one at Shutterfly.com and while the color quality was up to par, the layout options and paper choices were very limited.

I didn't do a calendar this year
