I've noticed that all over the west coast, FM wedding photographers are teaming up, second shooting and having pow wows. Why don't we do this in Chicago? Is there nobody here on FM? We should get a list going around here so we can hook up and help each other out.

Mostly because there are 416,464,344,368 wedding photographers in California so there are naturally more of them here on FM than from other areas.

I wouldn't get too down about it. There are like four people even from my state on this board. The only Photogs in my area that I ever seem to run into are still rocking white vignettes and selective color. (a few exceptions)
So, I share your observations.

I know I'm an ass, but I have to justify my English degree: "camaraderie."

True but there are 416,464,344,300 in Illinois and all but 3 vying for work in Chicago.

Northwest Burbs here. A get together would be fun. Maybe a microbrewery

No more of an ass than me pointing out that it's a French word,

Sorry, I live in a small town in GA. No camaraderie here. But I don't mind, I don't shoot wedding anyway. But that doesn't stop me from looking at all the great work here. I admire you guys for willing to put up with all the brides and MOBs.

Don't feel like an ass for correcting an ass. I'll edit my post accordingly. But as Jeremy Clay says. If you're not from Chicago, GTFO of my thread!!! Otherwise come hang out with us sometime.

Micro brewery, sweet. Lets set something up.

By the way, Gravy graffix, your avatar scares me and I'm not sure if you're invited. Can you even get out of the Joilet without parole? j/k

No thanks. I don't do alcohol. Seen too many drunks at the receptions who thought they were cool.
