I like that you are being festive!

It is obvious that you are trying to have the spider as the focal point of this shot, however, there is a lot going on in this shot.

A couple suggestions:
I would try perhaps shooting from a different angle, or perhaps using the spider differently? I like the idea, and I like the spider!

As well, I am not sure if the focus was off or if this is a crop of a much larger shot. Making the spider sharper will for sure bring it to your eye a lot better!

Cool entry and best of luck!

Quite a celebration of Fall/Halloween.

Is the spider really blue in real life? It shows up as purple on my monitors. I just recalibrated them last night, so if the spider is royal blue, I goofed somewhere.

I'm curious. Do you color manage your monitor? I don't mind the hue, but as another datapoint, it also looks purple on my monitor in Safari, Firefox and PS CS4. (Color managed NEC2690WUXi.) Other data points?

I do calibrate my monitor for my computer and have no problem, but I did this on my laptop and yes now that I looked on the computer it is more purple, so I'm going to leave it as is . Don't have time to redo. Thanks for your comment and stopping by.
