I guess by now it's pretty much obvious that the rumours regarding the date were acurate.

Now let's see if it's full frame or 1.3x...

I went to a local retailer and tried to fish some info but all I got was a coy smile, which is probably an answer in itself. All he said was that next month is Canon month, whatever that means. If the mkIV is really being announce this month, I'm guessing that's when they start being available.

Anyway, I look forward to a whole bunch of new b*tching threads about it when the camera finally arrives in the hands of our resident pixel pervs.

Well seeing as how they stopped shipping 1d3's to at least some dealers I know they best have something to replace it.

Mostly it's from Canon *owners* who don't actually use their cameras. Users are too busy making images.

I just picked up a 1DmkII to replace my 20D and I think this thing is just amazing!!

Which 7D features would make it in there? I'm guessing the electronic level, wireless flash controller, even better version of the AF, metering system.

I would hope that all of those would make it into the MkIV plus some other goodies.

that new viewfinder, video and some new buttons...

Unless the MKIV has a popup flash, the wireless flash controller won't be in there. In other words, it won't be in there.
