These are all wonderful compositions Maxis. You might want to protect the highlights a touch more.

These look great Maxis. Mirrors what I've been getting as far as AF performance with busy backgrounds. Its a good combo. (its all the combo I can afford )

Lovely set Maxis.

Amazing to get a used 7D almost immediately after it's release....

I don't own the camera. I just got the privilege of using it for a short period of time. The owner gets to keep it with all my settings.

Thanks!

Johnny- he's been here since '06 and nearly 100 posts, which precludes your "fly by night advertising" accusation.

Furthermore, one of his (free) newsletters contains more substantive info than you've posted in your 7600 posts.

Give it up, dude.

So what? John did not make the rule. Take it up with Fred Miranda. The FM Forum Rules state: No SPAM, advertisements, schemes, or fictitious announcements: Regular members are allowed to advertise their workshops or meetings in the ‘Member meetings and events’ section, but moderators can still edit, close or remove a thread when they think it’s needed.

Either the rule should be enforced by a Moderator, or the rule should be eliminated.

Next thing we will be getting is pop-up ads.

man, great shots. You seem to know much more about this camera than I did. Took over 2k shots with mine and only satisfied with 100 images or so...

I've seen a few 7D's for sale by people who thought that the new features would make it easier for them to come back from full frame to crop sensors. Many of them have been disappointed.

I thought my 7D was great, but sold it when I had to replace my 70-200 IS. I will definitely by another one when cash frees up a little.

Great shots Maxis. I will check out your newsletter and site.

This camera have so many options and features that can perhaps confuse some users. So far, my settings are working well.

I sitll have more testing to do. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks!

that's what I am suspecting as well. Will give it a another try when the price cool down a bit. Did you shoot in burst during your limited time with the camera? What was your experience like with bursts of 8-16 shots? Did all images come out sharp/in focus?

Hi,

This image is one out of 4 frames if I remember correctly. The other 3 frames were in focus but not with a good composition. In my opinion, the goal is to get ONE kick *** image out of the sequence. I normally don’t shoot 8-16 frames burst. Of course every situation is different.

Hope that helps!

Thanks!

The 7D with the 400mm f/5.6 is even better. Extremely fast!

Thanks Maxis, this is all very helpful. I wander if you have tried different focus settings/custom functions with your IF shots and have noticed any difference. Thanks again
