Walking down a street in an unfamiliar part of town, and all the houses were festooned with Halloween decorations. Then I came across this sad structure and it seemed appropriate for the WA.

Hi Rich,

That home looks long abandoned. Nice find for the WA. I love the overgrown look.

Best wishes,

Steve S.

Nice capture Rich...looks like they tarred over the shingles before they abandoned the place some time ago.

Steve:

Always good to hear from you. Judging from the growth, you are probably right that it was abandoned well before the current recession. Still sad though. Many thanks for your comment.

Rich

Thank-you Beverly. An overgrown house like this probably looks its best in Autumn. In Winter, the absence of any colour or life would likely lead to quite a different image. Anyway, thanks again for your comment.

Cheers,
Rich

John:

Yeah, I noticed the patchwork effect on the roof; IMO it adds to the sense of neglect. Thank-you for your comment.

Cheers,
Rich

Gloomy atmosphere created Rich and technically a very good shot.
