I have tried here to illustrate the physical recession that occurs to us all as life goes by. The obvious is in the receding hairline, but there are other perhaps less obvious 'recessions' in this image. (The bright area to the upper left of the head is deliberate as is the slightly lighter area in the middle of the image). I would be interested in what you think!

Just my idea as well so I shall have a re-think. Now, how do I photograph my brain?

Well done on this one Andrew.

My wife suggested this, but you beat me to it, and I daresay you did a better job than I would have. Besides, I've been blessed with a reasonably full head of hair despite my advancing years. Sorry about your recession.

Cheers,
Rich

Thanks Rich, yes wives do tend to notice these things! But I have been in recession for many, many years and it isn't that bad really—you can learn to live with it!

Interesting take on the assignment. I kind of wish the front of the head was in a bit clearer focus, but maybe that is just me.

Best wishes,

Steve S.

Nicely done!

This was my idea as well. Although I was going to do "recession and inflation" and include both my head and my belly

Thanks for this, I like the idea of including the belly as well but n my case it may be just a little TOO big!

I like the idea but would prefer more DoF.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Very original take on the subject, and not easy to photograph. More DOF would be even nicer. I had a client recently with a full head of hair and he said he grew it himself, that he'd been using Rogaine for a year and it filled in the huge bald spot on the top of his head. He said you have to keep using it though. So, if you want to be recession-proof, there ya go! All the best!

Thanks Beverly for this. I have lived without hair for more years than I can rmember, so I don't think I will be going down the Rogaine root!
