I still haven't found or heard of any way to power my BXRi 500/500 combi on the go. I have used a Honda quiet gas generator a couple of time but still curious to hear if anything has happned on this front?

Broncolor has powerbox 900 for indoor monolight. It's not cheap though.

A generator should not pose any problems because it puts out power the same way that the electric company does. It will only cause problems if you're drawing too much and it can't keep up. Your only other option is a lot of extension cords.

I am curious about this, too.
I would think since it is a monolight, very similar power to an Alien Bee -- that one could use the Alien Bees Vagabond. (A portable battery system - only $299!)
I've read you can use several lights on it at a time - just use a multi-outlet surge protector.
