Zenfolio's fees are outrageous.
Paypal & Google are both about 2.9%

I have Photobiz. They charge $125 for setup. Then a monthly fee (which I still don't know what it is yet).

Others?

Midwest Transaction Group + Authorize.net. Charlie is awesome. It's $15/mo with rates from about 2.2%-2.9% for us. PPA membership gets you free setup.

They are the BEST. Hands down, period. Ask for Chuck Schultz, he is the man.

www.PhotographyMerchantSystems.com

Ryan is the Owner. If you are a DWF member you can get the best deal in photography they negotiated a deal that is even better than PPAs.

I use the authorize.net setup and use transactions lite on my iphone to run the cards.

Yeah I just filled out the form to find out more about this as I am a DWF member.

We used Website Payments Pro for a while. It offers a virtual terminal as well as an API to build it into a payment system. I chose to move to the current option because the fees and monthly cost were lower.

I use paypal right now - no monthly cost, and i have very few clients who request to use CCs. I would like to go in a different direction in the future.

I have photobiz and paid the 125 for the cart. I set up my CC with iTransact, which have special rates for photobiz users (there are 2 plans, depending on how much you use per month). The monthly fees is only for the pics you have in galleries (I think I pay $60 for 3600 images). Overall a good deal.

I use PayPal. Never had an issue. Doesn't bother me a bit because most wedding clients are young and are very familiar and comfy with PP. I don't get enough credit card paying clients to swallow monthly fees of other processing methods.

Stay away from Paynet Systems a/k/a Data Pipeline. I was lied to, I was sold a service and later told it was not "compatible" with wedding photography. I processed a transaction for $2400 and received an approval code to be told that I was committing fraud, but yet the money never made it into my account. They wanted me to provide a tracking number (UPS, FedEx) for this transaction. How in the he'll do you provide a tracking number when the transaction was to pay for the deposit? 'Nuff said. Just stay away!

+2 - Charlie is awesome and works with a TON of photographers so he is really familiar with our needs. I have both a physical terminal and an authorize.net account through both of them.

This may just be a small town thing, but in seven years I've only had one person want to pay with a credit card. And she was from California.

Since joining PPA, I have considered using the service provided by one of their affiliates, but I'm not sure it would be worth my while to investigate it. Most people in my area use cash or personal checks.

I use both Google and Paypal. Looked into authorize.net but the fee without being discounted was $15.00 or so a month, plus the set-up with half going for affiliate marketing. I love affiliate marketing except when I have to pay for it. Yes I am cheap!Doing only 1-3 transactions per month made the fee plus percentage too much. Fine if you do dozens of transactions as it will be averaged out.
