OK, I feel like a dumbass. I'm sitting here with the cables from the CST and CSRB. I have done a search, but it seems that nobody else has been this technologically challenged. Can somebody tell me how to simply get the thing onto the flash unit or direct me to the info? I've uncovered all the ports I can see. Did I misread where it said I can connect the receiver directly to a 580EXII? I downloaded the manual, but that only shows how to connect it to a Paul C. Buff flash unit. Well, at least I have managed to get the transmitter onto the camera... |

The 580II has a PC input on the side, it's covered with a little rubber thingie. PC -> 3.5mm mono is all you need. |

Is it the big rubber thingie or the one next to that or the one below both of them? |

It's the round one underneath the other ones on the left side while looking at the LCD panel. |

Oh OK. I tried that one, but maybe I didn't push hard enough. |

so the one thing I am noticing about this is that the cord does not attach very well to the 580EXII, how are you supposed to keep a good connection on there? |

I was wondering about that screw lock thing, I didn't know if it was compatible. |
