Hey guys, is there any optical difference between this two?
I was a happy owner of the 85mm f1.8 AF Non-D versión of this Lens. Sold it a couple of days ago and i´m all ready missing it.

Now I´m thinking in buying the D version from B&H, but will it give me better IQ than the non-D version?

No optical differences between versions. The only difference is that the D has a slide-lock for the aperture ring, and the non-d has a push and turn button lock for the aperture ring.

that and the distance info it sends to the flash, hence the "D"

No optical difference. Just introduces the distance feature and that's about all. And the aperture lock.

No difference. My 85/1.8 AF is zippy enough for me, and I'm sure it was the same speed for you.
