I've been having some fun at some local car shows... the summer is winding down and soon they will all be put up for the winter. It is very difficult to get a clean shot at one of these shows... lots of spectators and background clutter, so I'm trying to spiff up some of the very nice customs that I've come across.

So..... this was taken today at a great car show in Ashland, Ohio town square. Hope you like this beautiful 1950 Buick custom.

Terry

By the way, I've been taking these with a Canon G10... the clouds and the cars, and then finishing them off in CS4.

OK... new '50 ...................................

Thanks Deezie... I've been leaving my D3 home lately I have a Nikon P6000 and the G10 and they are both killer cameras.... not fit for everything, but one doesn't want for much with these little wizards of digital.

Thanks for your comments.

I'm loving your clouds that you are using as backgrounds. Gives it a smoke effect. Well done!

Great shot Terry. Like you say, its so hard to get a clean shot at a car show, as they pack them in pretty tight, wonderfull shot here. Vern

Hi Alan... but it can be done Getting the right angle and a moment without folks walking through the scene in front of you is the big trick... most folks are pretty considerate though if they see that you are trying to capture a shot. Give it go.

Thanks much for your comments.

It is an evolution... an additive process.... each time you figure out a way to make them a little better... just be patient and have fun with it. In a few months you could be making me look like a slacker.

Here is the original jpg to show you how it all started.

Looking forward to your post.

A superb job on the Buick! If you enjoy car photos to art, have you looked at hubgarage.com or the car groups at redbubble.com? I'm slowly working car art into a living.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
