About ten months or so ago I started converting a nice looking Rokkor 21/2.8. Sanding enough material from the lens plate was really a challenge as you need to remove so much material that the mounting screws start to show through. |

Here is the conversion thread before I lost interest: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/707546 |

I was just thinking about getting back to rokkor conversions. This one was on the top of my list, along with 45/2 and 100/3.5 macro (which modern photography basically raved about in their review I recently scanned and will post soon). |

I think I am going to have a tough time putting this back together. |

I have done a couple of 35/1.8s. I really like the lens but no one seems to know about it, therefore it is still "cheap." |

hmm the 35mm 1.8 is not that "cheap". A year ago I could easily get them for under $100. Now it's hard to find one for that range. I was fortunate to grab a few when they were "cheaper". Maybe people pay less interest in because the conversion is more difficult and it hits the mirror on 5Ds (MK1/2)? |
