First time poster in the Sports Forum.

Someone in the People Forum suggested I post these here. They're not actual event photos, but rather taken as part of their high school senior portrait session. Rather than the hokey photo holding the ball or sitting on the ground with all the jerseys and trophies spread around them, the kids are digging this look as an alternative.

If this is the wrong place for these, I'll go away...

man I love every single one of these! The football ones are just great. I love the processing, harsh light etc..

I am assuming you used direct light? Or were these softened at all from the source?

What were you shooting?

Are these a repost? I got a hint of deja vu.

I think #1's great, and a I like 2,4 &13...But I don't have anything complimentary to say of the rest.

Overall I like them and dig the idea.
Great idea to bring something new to a boring market.

What I am not digging is some of the processing. Not the harsh edgy look I am talking about the lighting effects added to the stadium lights look really fake.
Also the photo of the girls is disturbing. I am not a fan of their facial expressions and you used to short of a lens. The closer girl looks bigger than she really is because of the lens choice and photo angle. It is un flattering.
I bet she is not pleased and this is probably not her favorite photo.

Thanks for sharing..

You got it goin' on! They look good, and the parents love that different look. I know a lot of time is involved in these custom shots, keep at it.

"I bet she is not pleased and this is probably not her favorite photo."

• Not sure, but they bought a 20" portrait of this pose. Beauty is in the eye of the checkbook holder.

Love #5 and #8.

Not too fond of the processing in #1.

How come he's not wearing a batting helmet in #7? Also, too much cutoff of the legs in #7.

Love em all! I would like to see a little more eyes in the baseball slide. I think they are fine here.

I love the processing, very dramatic!

I do have a few nits however...

1. Great.
2. Bad facial expression imo, eyebrows need to be down.
3. Good, I think they should be looking at the camera giving a little attitude.
4. Great.
5. Great, maybe even more rain!
6. Good, too much head space maybe?
7. Great, and would love to see the feet.
8. Good, perhaps the blur isn't necessary?
9. Okay, looks like a failed ollie or kick flip.
10. Great, except that there's nobody there. Is he celebrating alone?
11. Great.
12. Okay, too much processing.
13. Excellent, probably my favorite of the bunch.

Like I said, I'm nitpicking. This is very exciting work, thanks a ton for sharing!

Sick means "great" in the vernacular of today's youth.

"I like to 'get down' verbally with today's youth from time to time"
If you guess that movie quote then you watch too many movies
