My 1dm3 seems to have a different shutter button "feeling", "release" point with the portrait/landscape buttons. Therefore there is a difference in controlling them. |

I've owned seven 1-series cameras going back to the original 1D. They have all had a vertical grip shutter button that was much more sensitive than the horizontal one. Some users have reported that Canon can make adjustments to the vertical button. |

The vertical button is way faster than the horizontal. |
