Any threads or intelligent discussions where this has been analyzed? I am interested.

Thanks,
Pat

This is one of the better reviews of the 1Ds II I've found, and he does discuss some comparisons with the 1Ds II

Basically, the 1Ds III is better in just about every respect...

With all due respect...
Well, I am curious about something. I looked on Canon's advisories for their cameras over the last several models and there were none for the 2, but 3 at least for the 3. Doesn't say much for Canon's QC on the 3, or something is going on.

I thought you wanted a IQ comparison? IQ wise the MKIII beats the MKII under every comparable setting. The same applies to everything else (AF, Handling, LCD, Battery etc etc).

There were a lot of issues with early 1Ds II's as well, probably more than with the III, but they didn't receive quite as much publicity.

I don't know what happened. I thought I wrote at decent couple of paragraphs, but they are gone.
