I have a bogen platform for holding a laptop. It came with a super clamp and a background light-stand and a super-arm. I am looking for a set of legs that will hold my laptop while I am shooting either tethered or not. I may get the bogen arm that will hold several heads and a laptop like what Joe McNalley uses in his videos. I just need a sturdy set of legs for this use. I could upgrade my set of legs I am using now and get something better and save these for it but I am not in the market for new main legs just some cheap legs that will not fall over with my laptop on top of them.

I used a couple of ancient Bogen 3021 legs for all sorts of things. Is that strong enough?

Michael,

I rigged my laptop to my Gitzo Basalt. That way, when I moved my tripod, everything came along. I placed the clamp on the metal part of the tripod.

Alternatively, I found that this worked too.

Lou, what's the name of that clamp/laptop table system? I was looking to do something like this but didn't find anything like that.

It does look like this one:

Manfrotto 183 ALUMINIUM TABLE FOR PROJECTORS

That's correct, however, I needed to add a big washer on the bottom, which I did not have. So I found an old pizza cutter, popped out the round blade, and made sure the screw thread ont the super clamp extension arm passed through.

What's the name of the clamp and support arm?

I believe its this one.

and the extension arm with stud:

You will need a large flat washer to secure the table to the stud.
