Hey all,

I know this is isn't really what this forum is for, but I was wondering if anyone could try to figure out how to get this editing style (what to do in Photoshop/Lightroom)

The site is http://www.joelgrimes.com

Thanks!

He has tutorials on his site on how to get those shots.

It is actually his lighting style that he uses to get that look not a post processing technique.

Here's my take: Great Lighting, dodge and burn and he uses a low saturation, but I am sure it is more than that. (such as the infamous Lucis filter
First off, he knows how to get the shot!

Pass on a capture that you would like this look to be applied to and I (and others) might be able to make it look close.

You have to start with an image using his lighting technique. In post, there is some Lucas Art, or Topaz going on... There are a number of tutorials out there on how to do it. It's a great technique, and works really well with athletes.

There is a technique explained in the July/August issue of Photoshop User. Check out the article by Felix Nelson on page 32.
