I ordered this camera hoping it would be a good fit for me as a pocketable compact camera with a larger sensor but after a day, I have concluded it is not. It might be with the pancake lens but with the included 14-42 lens it clearly is not. Another problem is that as it lacks a viewfinder, its weight sort of offsets the value of the sensor-based IS but that is just my opinion. Otherwise it is a fine feature rich camera with usable ISO up to 1600 (3200 and 6400 are way too noisy.). The one video I took looks pretty crisp. One final note: the camera does not use a conventional USB cable to connect to the computer but a proprietary one. I only mention this because, to update firmware, it appears that you MUST do so via the camera-computer connection. |

Wondering when I might see one of these appear. Good price too. Nice of you to pass along the savings to anyone interested. Wish I had waited to get mine here. Good luck. |
