I've lurked for quite a while, and I must say, this place is just chock-full of goodness. I thought I might post something that I shot recently. These two fine people are getting hitched soon, and I have the honor of photographing the festivities. We went out together to check out the wedding venue, which is in a rather lovely little green space. They didn't have any engagement photos, and honestly, weren't quite keen on getting them done. However, once we got there, I managed to convince them to let me take a few shots, just for giggles. Here are a few. Unfortunately, about 10 minutes in...I found that I was pretty allergic to whatever marsh grass I had them pose in. It was cut short, and we're going to shoot again soon (this time with me wearing long sleeves!), but I liked these. Any comments or tips on what I could improve on would be great. And again, you all are a fantastic resource!

1 - Cute shot, the knees spoil it a bit.
2 - I like this!
3 - Eh, I'm not feeling it, the back of his head overwhelms the pic.
Is the desaturation intentional?

I agree with Justin's assessment... I don't mind the knees in the first, but the head in the 3rd is a bit much. The 2nd is very nice.

Nice for impromtu.

I feel a square crop on #3, removing the majority of the head would be an improvement. Even leaving just some of the head, we (they) get who she is looking at.

I LOVE it that there is not a million photos and that the ones presented are quite nice.

I really enjoyed these shots - despite a few minor discrepancies. I think the square crop on #3 would be great. I really love your processing. What did you use? I'm still working on narrowing down my processing style - I'm still figuring out how to do things. I think the processing fits these shots.
