Here are a few shots of this 12 Spotted Skimmer Dragonfly. He entertained us for quite some time while waiting for some action at the Osprey nest we were photographing Sunday. The first 2 shots were taken with a Nikon D80 and 70-300VR. The 3rd shot is with the D300 and Sigma 150-500mm OS. Hope you like them and C & C always welcome.

Fine captures couple of suggestions if you don't mind, 1st try selective sharpening and 2nd use noise reduction on the background if needed BTW no need to center your subjects, give more room in the direction they are looking.

Garen thanks I have a tendancy of getting too close and filling the frame and not leaving enough room to crop.
Thank you Dick.

Nice job on these Joe I like 2 the best of the set. For me bugs are best parallel to the camera sensor. Great job of taking advantage of what came your way while waiting for something else.
