A few shots from two days ago. Two looks from the sparrow, a shot of the spotted sandpiper with I think a better background, and a one-legged Nello cedar waxwing bird.

Hi Rob,
1,2 and 3 look a bit soft on my monitor.
I notice the shutter speed is a bit low on them at 1/400 for the first two and 1/320 for # 3. For the little birdies I try and get the shutter speed up as they never stop moving for an instant.
But at 1/800 # 4 is nice an sharp and well focused on the eye.
Hope this helps.
Martin

I would have to agree about the first three being a little soft ....but nice job with #4, it shows some very nice detail in the feathers!....

Thanks for the advice Martin, I'll keep that in mind the next time. I reloaded these so hopefully they look a little better.

Hey Rob.

I would have to agree about the focus issues on the first 3 but they are nice captures. You sure did get in close on the sparrows I do like the sandpiper comp the best of the series. I looks like you are right in the line of fire shooting that WW

Nice capture on the spotted sandpiper!!
The Rectal View of the CWW is less appealing
