Thanks, Brian. This is an awesome species, specifically the males which have the red veins in the wings that really give that extra contrast pop.

M Vers, I have never seen H Pennants with this kind of reddish coloration. The ones I get to see here are more yellow-golden with eyes having brownish colors. Obviously there are different types perhaps.

Excellent photos - 3 and 4 specially (with that slight head tiwst).

Thanks. It was strange shooting the males, at lower angles more red tones show up, while shooting down on them more gold show up. Obviously this was because of the viewing angle of the red veins this species posses. Nothing was done to the images to increase the red tones although saturation is +1 out of camera. I do know what you mean though, they do seem more red in coloration compared to other images I have seen of them.
