Here are a few birds from this mornings shoot. I focused on the little ones and then on the hummers with Tom S. We had a blast as we always do. I switched up and did some shooting with the 300 f4L, the goldfinch is with that lens.

C&C as always.

Tim

1. Tree Swallow

2. Female Goldfinch

3. Anna's

Yes sir buddy you are on a roll here this time! That is a nice Tree Swallow my friend, very pleasing details and excellent eye contact, as a nit I think there is a bit too much on top
Are you the one saying you are tossing more Goldfinch shots than keeping, well aside from the perch that one is simply stunning and a gorgeous female, really neat shot!
I really love those flower shots, nice way to sneak in a few hummers #3 is a very unique comp, looks like a miss with the tongue Colors harmonize well and love the fade out on the floral I guess #4 could be considered a bit busy but busy in a good way, all elements work as you have a sharp hummer and colors that are enjoyable with those engergetic little birds. Your eye did good in seeing those colors work so well, nice series buddy!

Dang Dude, dem are goooooood. I'm partial to the hummer shots. The colours (notice the right way of spelling colours eh) sure pop. And the way the flowers are positioned (whatever they are) add some nice depth to your captures.

Well done buddy.

What's left to say? I think Karl has covered it all!

Beautiful set, Tim. I'm impressed that you get close enough with a 300 to get such detail. Well done.

The Swallow is a killer shot! Color, exposure and the sharpness are all excellent.
And the hummer shots are beautiful captures. I like the composition in both hummer shots. I like the fadeout of the flower in #3,
giving a sense of depth to the image and the composition of the flowers in #4 works very well.

Ooooooooooh a super set Tim. What a beautiful pose and colors and detail on the swallow. Similarly for the goldfinch and I don't see anything wrong with the perch, sure they will perch on anything
As for the hummer shots, in the first one its great to get the tongue out like that, a sweet capture, but for me the real beauty in the shot is how the flower disappears off into the distance behind the bird, like a highway to another world. And the last shot has such a variety of colors even in the bg.
A really excellent and enjoyable set my friend.
