My daughter spent some time last year in Cambodia. Here are a couple pics she took with a 'point and shoot' and I converted in PhotoShop.

I'd like to see the toning in #2 applied to #1. As it is, it appears murky. Of course, maybe the water in #1 is murky, in which case ignore my crit!

I agree with Tim about the brown toning in the first.
The second photograph is swell (trying to bring that word back).
Both are interesting travel shots, and I hope you will post more.
I visited Cambodia many years ago. Interesting to see that the way of life of some people apparently hasn't changed at all.

Thanks Charlie and Tim - I agree with the both of you. I probably shouldn't have even tried to convert that one to BW ... here is a 're do' and the color one follows

i prefer the last colour shot, maybe try muting the colours apart from the blue shack 20% should do it.

Thanks for the suggestion Martyn. I was surprised at the colors in the shots she brought back from Cambodia. Even the worst parts had some color that added some beauty to a otherwise desolate scene.
