It's nice to have a cooperative subject every now and then....in this case it was two cooperative subjects. A road runs between a lake and two Egrets fish on either side of it. They seem to have an understanding and stay out of each others way. Between boaters and photographers that like to roam (never understood how someone thinks a bird will stay when you walk straight at them) they scare the Egrets into flight...I just sit and wait while the others do all the work.

Splendid whites on the egrets ... excellent captures!

What kind of hawk is in #8?

Thanks for sharing,
Tom

Nice stuff - 3 and 7 are killer, for me at least. Getting the right exposure on these critters has got to be tough.

These are quite nice Duane. Simple and beautiful, just the right hue on that water in the BG and the light was your friend My picks are the legless egret, I like the form and the head position with outstretched leading wing and of course #7 has got 'hang me on the wall' written all over it, wow buddy that is simply stunning

Fine work on the exposures, the setting sounds very entertaining

Thanks everyone for the replies. I muffed the camera settings on the in-flights and for some reason they were underexposed having bright morning light available. I was shooting at +1/3 EC and had to up the exposure in ACR by 70...introduced some noise in the process. Still haven't figured out why they were underexposed with these settings and conditions.

All of these photos are EXCELLENT. They are a pure joy to look at. If I had to pick just one to have made into a wall hangar it would be #7.

It is a piece of fine art.
