This was another stop on our road trip up the California coast line on the infamous hwy 1... Piedras Blancas Beach is a local beach near San Simeon where Elephant Seals have inhabited the area for their molting and breeding needs... They are everywhere on the beach (still sorting though those pictures). Also on this beach are these little ground squirrels that I thought were absolutely amazing... As I was taking pictures of one of them another was so brave that it climbed up my leg and just sat there on my knee while I was sitting on a log. It was kind of weird

# 2 is just amazing.

Did you figure out what the squirrels were doing next to the elephant seals - - my husband & I could not make sense out of it when we saw them.

Thanks alot everyone for your comments... Lil we could not figure it out either! My girlfriend was scared of them though cause they kept trying to climb up her leg haha. They sure are brave little creatures though, I guess you can figure that they arent scared of humans since they live with creatures quadruple times our size
