For sale is a Nikon 300 2.8 AF-S II telephoto lens. Its a US model, comes with the CF hood, Nikon rear cap, and Lowepro Lens Case, size 3. This is the version that came after the original AF-S (AF-S I) and before the AF-S VR.

The glass is in great condition, front and rear optics are pristine. Looking through the lens in the light at 2.8, the faintest bit of dust can be seen, but that is the case will all lenses, used and new.

Exterior cosmetics are good, there is some wear on the tripod foot and where the hood clamps onto the front of the lens. Also on the bayonet some wear. See photos for more detail.

The lens focuses perfectly, is super sharp wide open, and works wonderfully with teleconverters.

I used this lens for a few football games in the fall and has sat unused since then.

Isn't that a version II in the picture?

Sorry everyone, I had a brain fart! It is a version II lens, which is a pound lighter than the AF-S I version and has a different crinkle coating.
