a while back i happen to stumble across a page of someone showing how to DIY your own lightring and i tried searching for it just now but i can only find a single picture

it was that exact one not the one from jyospeh, would anyone happen to have a link to this?

Do you like the 12-sided starburst effect in the eyes? It doesn't really look like a ring. 1200W would be pretty hot, too.

As an afterthought (usually I get them about 3 hours later ), You could use color temp controlled compact fluorescent lights in the fixtures.
