Happy 4th everyone!

Here are a few family shots from yesterday. We enjoyed the time off, but my 4 year old was concerned that the threatening clouds would ruin the afternoon:

1.

2. looking like no pool today...

3. The zen 1 year old is unconcerned:

But the rain held off and we made it to the pool:

4. Breathe!

My wife insists on keeping this hat on her despite my complaints that it makes it almost impossible to expose properly. Oh well.

6. All worth it:

Comments and critiques welcome.

You got better light on the face in #5 with the hat than you did in #3 without the hat. I'm on your wife's side. Keep the hat.

Nice set. Not really fond of #2. But 5 & 6 made the day!

Thanks. #2 is my least favorite also but I thought it helped tell a little bit of story.

The concrete was a decent reflector for 5. That and a little post can do a lot. The hat is still overexposed though. It's staying any photographic merits aside anyway...
