Hey guys,
I have a simple mkIII question that I have not been able to figure out. I want to see if you can change the AF points on the mkIII by only using the joystick controller. Iknow you can do this if you press the AF button first(*), then move the AF points using the joystick....but is there any way to remove the step of pressing the AF button (*)

I tried all the CF settings and am still lost

Because your actual question is about the MKIII but your subject heading says it's about the MKII.

It wasn't originally available as an option, but was added with one of the first firmware updates (1.2.3 I think). It's probably not in the manual.

C.Fn III-9
Option 3 gives you all 19 points
Option 4 lets you select the inner 9 points
Option 5 lets you select the outer 9

by only moving the joystick. If you push in on the joystick, it will bring you back to center
