picture 3 is so beautiful i love how the pedals are so sharp and the middle is a little blurry

No tubes, a Nikkor 55 f/3.5 micro on the D1x so no lens shows up. All shots are at f/5.6 or f/8.

Stunning series. Although I don't complete agree on the composition of the rose (#2), It's still my favorite.

Glad you liked the series. I had no choice on the rose as it's a mini and the only way I could get a decent shot was through a slit in my fence! Once I get some more buds it will be easier.
