Cosmetically and functionally in very good condition. Comes with front and rear caps and the Nikon CL-46 case shown in the photo. There is a scratch on the rear element that doesn't seem to affect image quality. I'd say it is 2.5mm long and towards the edge of the rear element. I don't have the lens with me to photograph the scratch...as far as I can tell it can't be discerned on an image. ![]() |

Had an offer but I am unable to discern if this is a US model. Does anyone have a reliable way to tell? |

Probably have to contact Nikon with the serial # |

On the 20-35, the serial number is prefixed with a US as the first 2 digits of the serial number on the aperture ring. |

Thanks for the info. I agree about the US v Import thing once the warranty is up. Lots of people like to use it as a bargaining chip. According to a friend at Nikon, some 20-35 lenses were made for the US market without the "US" prefix as is the case with lots of other lenses made in long runs. I guess we'll never know! |

Good to know. Will have to look around to see if there are unbranded US lenses out there. |
