Really diggin the first and last of the set! He's a very intense guy, especially with that last look!

Only one I'm not really diggin is 3, just don't like the pose and for me that makes it a bit blah.

#5 really works for me. Shows emotion and makes you want to look at it a little longer.

Wow! First 2 plus the last are just plain amazing. Sharp, perfect, great vision. The last is a huge win.

On 3, I see where you were going, but I don't like the harsh light on the face, and I think a shallower DOF would have made it lots better. Number 4 doesn't really do anything special for me. Not bad, just kind of meh....

My picks are #1 and #5. Convey emotion best for me while being nice shots as well.

Like everyone else, #5. One is good but a little too much sun for me.

He has a bunch of white light coming through his head on the first shot. The rest are just plain blah.

Just some "personal feelings"

#3, the symetry doesn't work for me. Should be better from my POV if you sightly shoot him from a lower position and with the top of the head near the top of the picture

#4 the white background is distracting from his face expression

#5, not sure about the DOF. Should all the face be sharp, or only eyes, but here you take an half choice

Justin, 1 & 5 for me... they are powwerful and deep.

Also, looks like the flare police is out again. They must not have had their breakfast cereal yet.

I agree with most of the choices, but good work all around. #5 has that unusual perspective, but I like #4 even more.

In #3, a centered shot, I think you should have made it exactly centered. Let's see the doorway on the other side too.

Not a photographic comment, but - boy does he exude a different look when you compare his smile shots to the serious ones.
Considering the bright sun, these is even more impressive.

Yes, I noticed that. I definitely prefer the smiles

As said overall nice set. #5 being the strongest image. #1 would be IMHO better if the sun was behind his head more cutting down on the flare some.
