Saw this tiny black bug (read: boring ) about 3-4mm long on a leaf...i was bored so i peeped at it through the MPE...turned out to be a black but nice looking weevil. It tried to take off ...and this was what happened

Brian, not exactly sure what it was doing..but It was trying to take off (which it did!) when i tried to get too close

Thanks, Zichar. Yes, it was taking off. Lifted the elytra (hard case) before it could open up the hind wings.
