I am leaving for Italy in a few days and just remembered about the wattage difference in electricity here and abroad. Any know if the Canon battery charger CG 580 (standard charger) needs a wattage converter? Or just the different prongs? Many thanks! |

Look at the specs on the charger. If it says 110-220v you will be OK. You may need a plug adapter since the pins may be different. |

You just need an adapter for European sockets available at the airport or from somewhere like Radio Shack, the charger will take both voltages, I have both types of battery charger UK & US and have no issues |
