Spent a couple of hours yesterday (morning and evening) at my favorite spot. Had great company to boot - thanks Mark and Morten.

#1 Light from the wrong direction - oh well.

#2 Better light, clipped the wings. Shot with fixed focal length lens though so what can you do

#3 Installing cable. That's right, he brought a coil of cable back to the nest.

#4 And my favorite of the bunch. Light was good, pose was good, little bit of wing blur to convey motion...yeah, happy with this one.

That's it for now. Have more to process at some point. Thanks for having a look.

Hey, thanks. I wasn't quite sure I nailed it until I got home. I almost wanted to leave after making the shot just so I could go have a look on my PC (the screen on the 1D Mark II isn't exactly, ummmm, that great).

Hey Karl!

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when he brought that coil back to the nest. I have a couple of flight shots where he's bringing it back and will process a few of those when I have some more time. Was unbelievable to see. Then again, there is also some sort of steel band and some rope in the nest. I wonder what's next...

Thanks for commenting Karl.

Ahhh Jay, my favorite neighbor to the south (ok, other than my sister maybe - and yeah, Tim you're up there too buddy). Well, you know, getting out once in a while...

I am indeed happy with that last one. That light only lasted for a very short time. And to have one of them come in at the right moment was....well...magic. Went back there tonight but haven't looked at those yet. I think there might be a keeper in there...maybe.

Thanks,

Henrik

Well I, for one, am glad that you dropped by.

The cable shot had me shaking my head. I think this osprey couple is new to nest building (first year at this location). The other day, the male brought back a HUGE stick - probably 7-8 feet long. And, after moving it around, it ended up dangling off the side of the nest. Oh well, can't win them all I suppose.

And that last one - I just might have to print it.

Thanks bud.

I'm tired Henrik & really upset. Irritated beyond contempt with color management, monitors, software & calibration. I'm ready to throw the monitor etc through a window or something.....

You have it right - - I did mean to write a satellite dish.

Who can I get rid of first? Or should I say/write "what".....

Not to worry, Lil. I know exactly what you meant As for your computer - yeah, I know that feeling too. Take a break, see the animals and come back to the other stuff later.
