Well i received this lens today and was able to take a quick walk through the park and snap a few pics.First impressions of my first Zeiss lens are- I will be scrolling the B&S for more Zeiss glass
-Color is amazing straight from the camera and this copy is as sharp as my Canon 100f2(i did a comparison)
-Getting used to the push zoom but not a big deal.
-And did i say sharp, this zoom holds its own with respectable primes!!!
Any way enough talk here are a few pics, nothing special but they do show what it can do.All taken on a 5D.Very little pp on these all done in DPP

nice, jim. "zeiss color" was the first thing that came to my mind.

*stevenpa* has the epitome of convertible zeiss zooms, the 17-35/2.8, on the B&S board, btw. whatta partner to your mid-range, eh?

as oscar wilde said, "i can resist anything but temptation."
