Last week we spent a couple of days at Riding Mountain National Park, a couple of hours NW of Winnipeg.

I was happy to find Boreal whitefaces, as well as species found east of Winnipeg.

These were taken with the Nikon the 300mm f4 AFS and a 52.5mm manual tube.

Thanks Larry for the ID's, perhaps by the time I post mine I will know what they are I have always thought those Jewel Wings were the prettties of all! I like them all but #3 is a great comp and a neat perspective, nice shooting buddy!

Nikon D300, 300mm f4 AFS, PN-11 manual 52.5mm extension tube, tripod. Shot aperture priority, mostly at at f8, ISO 400, manual focus, usually remote release and often mirror lockup.
