I happened upon this old barn just after the sun had set on Canada Day. It's no longer in use. The Alberta prairies are full of these gems.

Thanks for looking.

Hi, Dan. Prairies, mountains, lakes, Alberta is an absolutely gorgeous place to experience. I like this shot. Very nice comp and lighting. You might want to look into making a correction on the perspective distortion though, It's making the left side of the barn look kind of warpped. Should make it even better.

Cheers,
Ed

Great shot! The fade of the sky, the flowing grasses, the aged barn, i like it all, even the distortion, almost makes it feel more expansive. One of the best "old barn" shots I have seen. Congrats on a nice capture.

Very Nice! The colors are fantastic, the barn detail and perpective is very interresting, amnd I like the fact that you didn't have to put the sun (or even what appears to be the central portion of the sunset( in the frame. That really works for me!

Just came back from Glacier national Park and took a day drive up into Alberta to the waterton Lakes portion of the park. Weather was pretty bad, but even so you could tell that whole area was beautiful.

I like the perspective and angle of this photo. Great details of the building as well

Good call on an ISO/shutter speed that allowed for focus on the grasses here - that adds a nice element to the comp in this shot. Nicely balanced image overall. I do see the perspective aspect others have commented on but find that it is something I can ignore.

Great comp and colors nothing like capturing a good ole barn especially in the beautiful lighting conditions you have done here. Very nice work

Lovely light here, Dan, especially on the barn.
Interesting pov. I don't know what's out there, but I wouldn't mind a wider and higher perspective....the comp feels a little tight on the left edge. jmo
