Standing by the Canals edge waiting for some folks from Western Mass. going on vacation here on the Cape I heard a lot of noise from the rocks below. Cause I had to look and here were several gulls fighting over some food, which turned out to be this poor small crab. As you can see there, is only one winner and it is not the crab.(9 photos)

Aww poor little crab. Those gulls can get quite noisy when there is food around.

College is all about learning experiences isn't it

Lou, are you trying to start something with a title like that Looks like that gull had a stash and hadn't planned on sharing!

Life is all about learning Karl and this is a kind of poisen Ivy like thing. of cause I'm just guessing. You see the title of any book or post will catch most eyes
BTW I called TerryD last night and we talked for a long time. He has been busy with his Nomad and a new tractor. Had the Nomad done over with a fresh paint job. What a beauty.

Lou,

very seagull action behavioral shots. They do get into it don't they.

Love the fact that we get to peek into the action from above.

Really works for me - - I really feel I get to be an observer here.

How like you to capture the moment Lou.
Nice action series and the biggest bird wins out again.
Good to hear about Terry D. Do tell him I was asking for him if you are talking to him again. BTW what is a Nomad that he had painted.
