I've seen people bash Ken Rockwell plenty of times in the forums here in FM. He's not good in this.. he's not good in that... he makes the most ridiculous comments... etc etc... |

so, you want us to make an opinion about how other people think about an issue? |

steve mccurry? is that the guy that hangs out in war-torn countries, snapping images of peasants and the down-trodden? |

I think people on FM are very opinionated. And some of us FMers are pros. (not me though). I just wonder what the cream of the crop photographers think about people like us. |

I don't think they think about us. Too busy trying to make a living. |

Jose Villa is on here. He is a pro that still shoots film. He will post every once in a while. I think people from all levels use FM. I have learned a lot from it. There was a time when I was reading on here more than I was shooting. To me that is not right. Over the course of the last two years I have changed that by shooting as a second with a local pro and working more on my own projects. |

Some of the freelance photogs that work with Nikon School either have references to the Fred Miranda site on their website or are at least aware of the FM boards enough to know that it's a good resource. Michael Schwarz does. |

I imagine they think that I am always right .... and you all are always wrong - when you disagree. Take that to heart .... and get with the program! |

You mean there are other photographers and photo web sites? I thought FM was #1? |

All sorts of people here on FM, at all levels from what's-a-camera to world-class pros. I've seen Vincent Versace post, and Jim Wilson is an active member (see "Mustangs Air-to-Air" in Still Life). |

I like it here and that is what matters to me. I can waste my time reading about what everyone else thinks about things. Then, I can take my camera out of the box and look at it once in a while. |
