Good shot Alan.
Still using bamboo scaffolding- same as 30+ years ago. Only difference is these guys are wearing hard hats.
Lightweight and strong- I've seen workmen climbing around on bamboo scaffolding up to about ten stories high. Only with skyscraper-like buildings did they have to use steel. Amazing!

Charlie, you beat me to it - I saw some amazing patterns with bamboo in Aberdeen when I went to the famous Jumbo restaurant. I was just so lazy - it was a business trip - that I took a couple of disposable Kodak cameras with me then.

Have had plenty of time to regret that since.
